Quality Specialist - Ground Handling Services

The Quality Department, Shared Services provides quality assurance services to Cathay Pacific Airways Limited and its subsidiaries (the ‘Company’), including but not limited to Cathay Pacific Services Limited (‘CPSL’), Hong Kong Airport Services Limited (‘HAS’) and Vogue Laundry Service Limited (‘VLS’).

Responsibilities


Ground Operations

  • Assist in monitoring ground operations service delivery standards of the Company

  • Plan and monitor performance check on ground services related areas to ensure ongoing conformance with the relevant recognized and industrial standards and prepare relevant statistics for management review

  • Assist in writing up all ground services related operating procedures for the Company and customer airlines and revise such from time to time

  • Coordinate and participate in internal/external audits on ground services related areas 


Emergency Response Plan and Business Continuity Plan

  • Assist in developing and reviewing Company’s Emergency and Accident (‘E&A’) Procedures and conduct relevant drills and exercises when necessary

  • Organize and participate in emergency and accident exercises for customer airlines or external organizations e.g. Airport Authority

  • Plan and conduct E&A briefing

  • Assist in developing and implementing Emergency Response Plan (‘ERP’) and Business Continuity Plan (BCP) in warehouse and ground operations and revise such from time to time


Quality Assurance Programme

  • Ensure and maintain quality system requirements that are in line with the corporate quality policy

  • Maintain and implement an internal audit and outsource provider oversight programme covering all functional activities and quality, safety and security related processes

  • Assist in the effective project management of ISAGO Standards implementation

  • Assist in working with all relevant department section heads to create relevant documented procedures and policies manuals that comply with ISAGO or other industrial standards, local regulatory requirements and industry best practice

  • Perform any ad hoc duties as assigned by the Management

Requirements

  • Degree holder in Quality, Safety Management, ERP Training or other related disciplines

  • Minimum 5 years’ relevant airport operations experience, of which at least 2 years at supervisory level Have attended Internal Auditor training

  • Holding of valid Hong Kong Driving License Class 1 & 2 is an advantage but it is not a must

  • A good leader and able to motivate subordinates and to effectively interact with people from diverse backgrounds and levels

  • Good analytical skills, ability to work independently and under pressure with tight deadlines

  • Proficiency in computer literacy with knowledge in MS Excel, including formulas

  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin)

  • Candidates with less experience will be considered as Quality Supervisor - Ground Handling Services
