The Engineering Department, Shared Services provides facility management services to Cathay Pacific Airways Limited and its subsidiaries (the ‘Company’), including but not limited to Cathay Pacific Catering Services (H.K.) Limited (‘CPCS’), Cathay Pacific Services Limited (‘CPSL’), Hong Kong Airport Services Limited (‘HAS’) and Vogue Laundry Service Limited (‘VLS’).


  • Implement assigned projects from feasibility study, design development, tender, execution and hand over to end user departments to meet the business and operational needs. The projects involve Facility Management & Building Services, MHS, Non-MHS equipment, Occupational Health & Safety, and Sustainability Development

  • Supervise with all maintenance contractors, mainly on Facility Management (FM) related to facilities/equipment, but may include Material Handling System (MHS), non-MHS, to ensure their works meet the SLAs. Conduct Periodic Tests for fixed Electrical Installation (WR2) if required

  • Liaise and respond to the Operations team at the TCC of the Facility Management & Building Services and MHS operating status, estimated down time and possible solutions for maintaining normal cargo handling operation

  • Supervise/coordinate with Cleaning Contractor for daily cleaning works, deep cleaning works, special cleaning or disinfection tasks

  • Coordinate with internal and external parties during emergency breakdown maintenance and ensure their timely attendance of all faults, diagnose, estimated downtime and corrective action follow up

  • Ensure the quality and timely response to Building, Building Services, Electrical and Mechanical works to meet the operational requirements

  • Ensure that PMs/CMs are thoroughly applied to Facility Management & Building Services, MHS and non-MHS by a good record & reporting system. Liaise with relevant parties for the good control of the spare parts for the maintenance

  • Prepare budget and management reports

  • Assist and support the Managers during an emergency or crisis situation

  • Perform any ad hoc duties as assigned by the Management


  • Degree holder or Higher Diploma/Certificate in Mechanical, Electrical or Building Services Engineering

  • Minimum 6 years’ relevant working experience with not less than 2 years at supervisory level

  • Knowledge of using AutoCAD

  • Minimal supervision and detail-oriented with good communication and interpersonal skills

  • Proficient in PC applications such as MS Office and good knowledge and skills on computer aid system for system control

  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese

  • 24 hours shift duty may be required

  • Attending emergency, report duty during off-duty and typhoon may be requested
