Finance - Senior Financial Services Officer (Record to Report)

Financial Department, Cathay Subsidiary Services provides services to Cathay Pacific Airways Limited and its subsidiaries (the ‘Company’), including but not limited to Cathay Cargo Terminal ('CCT'), Cathay Pacific Catering Services (H.K.) Limited (‘CPCS’), Hong Kong Airport Services Limited (‘HAS’) and Vogue Laundry Service Limited (‘VLS’).
Responsibilities
Preparing and inputting required journal entries in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with accounting standards and group practice/policies.
Processing necessary entries in the general ledger for month-end close in a complete and timely manner.
Compiling CX reporting package, balance sheet schedules and routine management reports such as customer profitability report are prepared in a timely and accurate manner.
Performing fixed asset accounting, reconciliation of intercompany and bank transactions.
Preparing the necessary schedules and analyses necessary for external audit, tax reporting and statutory/regulatory filings, including preparation of statutory accounts, tax computation and tax returns, segment account, government surveys.
Assisting to review and analyze balance sheet schedules in particular accruals/provisions and highlight to the team leader any long outstanding accruals and provisions.
Preparing and providing data, reports or analysis as requested by the team leader.
Participating in fixed asset counts and prepare any resulting accounting provision as required.
Performing any ad hoc duties as assigned by the Management.
Requirements
Diploma holder in related disciplines.
Member of recognized accounting professional bodies is an advantage.
Preferably with 1-2 year relevant working experience but fresh graduate will also be considered.
Experience in SAP will be an advantage.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel and Word.
Strong team player and can work well independently with attention to details.
Proactive with commitment and sense of responsibility.
Good command of written and spoken English.
